Happy Monday Everyone!
Ever have markers and random pens laying around the house that you don’t know how to store? I have had this problem for a while with random plastic cups holding markers and pencil crayons that the cats would knock off for their own enjoyment, meaning random pens and markers on the floor in the messy office.
Luckily for me, Pinterest and Aunt Peaches has solved this problem! Just needed some toilet paper rolls, a shoe box and some fun paper and I was good to go!
Now all of my markers, pens and pencils are all in one place and organized! Amy loves marker box storage!

P.S. I am working on some updates for the blog. Can’t wait to share them with you…
As you know, I love free furniture and my Mom was giving this filing cabinet away after her own furniture make overs.
I knew this was a fun makeover for the blog. All I needed was scrapbook paper and modge podge!
I am pretty happy with the results, although I think it needs a little more TLC to be perfect.

When I arrived home from work today this is what I found…
I am in love with my paper roses and Valentine. I think my crafting has been rubbing off on my computer lover husband, I am very impressed.

Happy Valentine’s day!
I just wanted to share a couple quick Valentine’s day crafts I completed with an adorable boy which took no time at all. A little creativity can go a long way.
This mini craft was a free project, as I had picked up paint chips from our local paint store and a paint mixer stick. I am not sure what you would call this paper heart craft, the little boy I made it with called it a Paper Heart Wand.
With left over materials from our Valentine’s day craft, I made this super easy crown. I just cut the crown with two pieces of paper and then attached them together with a paper heart.
My husband drew this heart on the car when I was on my way to work the other day. He was pretty analytic about the arrow bubble afterwards but I love it just the same.
I know it is crazy to have two posts in one day… but I had posted a sneak peek on Friday and wanted to share the results!
I had paper hearts left over from our wedding as our adorable flower girl got caught up walking down the aisle she forgot to drop them… which is okay by me because now I can craft with them!
What you need to complete this project:
1 frame (any size)
1 bunch of paper hearts (folded or not) any colour
Staple Gun (I had a mini stapler and a hammer)
*I would suggest to make this project super cheap that you visit your local paint store and grab some paint swatches.
Attach hearts to string after hole punching them in any order and staple the string to the back of the frame. Voila!
*If you like the idea of no hole punch, you can glue the hearts to the string.
The original idea came from Pinterest of course and this blog: www.makinghomebase.com/valentines-day-floating-heart-wall-art/
Valentine’s day is just around the corner. I love Valentine’s day as a crafter because I can put hearts and ‘love’ on everything with a purpose.
Valentine’s day is more than sharing love with your special someone, its about remembering to say “I love you” to your family members and friends you love too.
My husband and I have never made a big deal about Valentine’s day. We got engaged on February 13th two years ago just before the stroke of midnight because my husband knew getting engaged on Valentine’s day wasn’t my thing. Unfortunately, the next day when I told everyone we were engaged they just assumed it was a Valentine’s day engagement. We shared our celebration with St. Valentine but made our own day when we got married.
Now that we are married and on a tight budget, we look for cheap ways to still celebrate being together for over 6 years. I always have loved the idea of giving coupons but the coupon books in the store are never catered to my husband and I.
I decided to make my own coupons and share them with you. Hopefully you can use them too!
